Poetry - Burnt Norton by T.S Eliot

Burnt Norton (Interlude)

This week went so fast, and now it's already weekend. It makes me think how fast the times goes by and that certain things change every second without me thinking about it. But there are certain things which never change, and still remain the same. I have always loved art and had a great interest in philosophy and science since I was very young. When I got introduced to science and philosophy as a child I found it so interesting and I knew that I wanted to devote all my life for it. I have always been interest in philosophy, why we are on this earth and what the meaning of life. I grew up in a very beautiful place, I can't describe you how wonderful and peaceful this place is with beautiful floral fields and trees, and the first thing which came to my mind was how on earth can someone create something so beautiful.

It inspired me to to create a world that I found beautiful. I found out quickly that philosophy and science were linked to one another. When you are learning, at some point you are inspired to create. So before I got into the world of Fashion ( a wonderful world of art and creativity) I got into writing and poetry. I discovered poetry which discussed philosophical aspects and science. It inspired me to start writing my own poems about what I know, what I have experienced and what interested me. I have collected a couple of poems which I find beautiful and interesting. One of the poems that I really love is Burnt Norton by T.S Eliot. I first heard about it in High School Jr. I haven't read it for a very long time, but when Lana Del Rey read a little bit of the first part for her upcoming album Honeymoon I was so happy and it definitely brought back a lot of memories. Here is a part of the poem. Isn't it beautiful?!

Time present and time past
Are both perhaps present in time future
And time future contained in time past.
If all time is eternally present
All time is unredeemable.
What might have been is an abstraction
Remaining a perpetual possibility
Only in a world of speculation.
What might have been and what has been
Point to one end, which is always present.
Footfalls echo in the memory
Down the passage which we did not take
Towards the door we never opened
Into the rose-garden. My words echo
Thus, in your mind.

But to what purpose
Disturbing the dust on a bowl of rose-leaves
I do not know.

Photos

I hope that you have had a great weekend! I haven't been doing anything special other than swimming and shopping. Here are two photos from a photoshoot I really like. To be honest I usually don't wear so much make up on a daily basis. I go more for a natural look, and often without make up. My focus lately have been portraits as you probably have noticed, but I promise to post more outfit posts on the blog. I have been busy these past couple of weeks when it comes to school and work, but I try my best to update at least once a week.

They have built a pond right outside my house which is so beautiful! It's a perfect place to have photoshoot, so I am very happy for that! I am thinking about taking a couple of photos there the next weekend if the weather is still beautiful like now. I am thinking about having a haul post on my latest buys which I haven't showed you, and I am currently styling three dresses which will be featured on my blog very soon. I better be doing some revising now. All I can say is, have a great week!

New Week

I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend. Last week, it was sunny all the time which was really great, but I have noticed that the weather is getting slightly colder and autumn is around the corner. I am currently trying out the side fringe, since I have had straight fringe for many years now and I like it. It's great for a little change now and then. I promise to have more outfit posts on my blog, since it's something that I think that you like. I hope that you are having a wonderful week, and I will see you very soon!

Happinessboutique

I love styling an outfit with statement necklaces. They make an outfit look special. and on point. This statement necklace is one of my favorites and I specially love the colour combination. It turns a white shirt into something unique. I have a big collection of statement necklaces, and I am always looking for new ones with great and beautiful designs and colour combinations.

How to get thicker hair

Many readers have asked me how I get thick, long and healthy looking hair, so I thought it would be great to write an article about it. I am not an expert, but this is what I do with my hair, which might help.

1. I know this might be painful, but you have to trim your hair often to make your hair grow faster. If you see on the tip of your hair and there are a lot of splits, that means it's time to trim your hair. If you do that the hair grows really fast. You don't need to trim so much of your hair.

2. It's important to find a shampoo which fits for your hairtype. It took me ages to find one which fit perfectly for me. I always read the information on the shampoo bottle on which hairtype it fits for. Before I only picked a random shampoo bottle, but never read the information. I never understood why I got fat hair and it felt uncomfortable for so long. I read the information on the bottle and it stood: for nordic thin hair. But I have also asked a hairdresser. They can a lot! I had a long discussion with my hairdresser about my hair, and she gave me a shampoo which I could try. It was so wonderful. I have used it ever since.

3. Less is more, I like to use less products on my hair. It damages my hair. I know many people like to dye their hair, but unfortunately it damages your hair. I knew someone who had dark hair and bleached it to blonde. The hair had fallen off. But if you like to dye your hair, remember to maintain it properly. I rarely use hairspray unless I have to, for example pulling my fringe aside (You have probably seen me switch from having fringe and not fringe) or when I curl my hair.

4. When you are going to curl your hair, remember to use heat protecting.

5. You can do circular motions on the roots of your hair to stimulate blood circulation. It might help your hair to grow.

6. I don't do this, but you can take supplements, some vitamins help to strengthen your hair.

7. Wash your hair with cold water, not with warm water. It makes a difference to me.

8.  After I have shower my hair. I like to put on conditioner from the middle to the bottom of my hair and make it stay there a couple of minutes. You can for instance Wash your body in the meantime or go to the sauna. After a couple of minutes wash it out with cold water. The hair will feel soft instantly. Don't put conditioner on the roots of your hair. It gives fat hair, and it's so uncomfortable. I have done this mistake many times.

9. Sometimes in photos my hair looks thicker than it usually is and my readers ask me how I do it. I do it when I want to have extra volume to my hair and it makes my hair look thicker than it is. All you need to do after you shower your hair is to hairdry your hair combining warm and cold air.
Bent your head slightly down and pull your hair to the front. First hairdry your hair from the bottom to the top with warm air, not too long because it will damage your hair (make sure every places get the warm air). Afterwards you pull your hair behind and hairdry your hair with warm air a couple of seconds. Lift your hair, so every place get the warm air. Your hair will feel warm and you will see your hair has become thicker, Afterwards hairdry it with cold air. It will create volume and it looks thick istantly! My hair stays like this for hours, but if you want spray a minimal of hairspray to make it stay long.

10. Try to stress less and sleep enough. I know it's very difficult when you are a student. I lost so much hair during my exam period, because of stress and too little sleep!

I hope these advices will help you. As you probably see I don't use so many products, and I definitely think less is more. If you try some of them let me know the results in the comment section bellow!!

ultraviolence

Inspiration:

I visited my hometown, and I haven't been there in four years. It's crazy to think about it! Everything felt like home. When I visited the different places they reminded me of the Ultraviolence photoshoots from Lana Del Rey's album. The nature was stunning and it was so peaceful. I got to catch up with my bestfriends which I haven't been seen in years. It was so great to see them again and we are still bestfriends, that's what we call real friends. They are there for you no matter where you are in the world. I am really lucky to have such great friends. We visited places we used to hang out and they brought so many great memories. The time goes really fast! I listened to the song westcoast by the beach, and it was magical! Lana Del Rey managed to capture the west Coast vibe. Many songs from the Ultraviolence album bring back so many memories. I think with Ultraviolence Lana Del Rey wanted us to focus more on the songs and bring the west coast fusion, but also keep it simple.
