New Year's Eve

Credits: Owner of the photos

It's soon New Year's Eve, and on this day everyone is dressing up for the special ocassion. But the most difficult with this is what you're going to wear. I have many dresses with different colours, and it takes a lot of time to choose which dress I am going to wear.

But recently, I have made it easier to stick with dark coloured dresses like black, dark purple, burgundy and dark blue and combined it with golden details. So if you're clueless of what you're going to wear. I have added some examples of dresses which can be in good help for which colours and textures work perfectly together for New Year's Eve.

However, I wish you all a wonderful New Year's Eve with family and friends, and that you all find a special dress you're going to wear, and let's hope that 2014 will be better!!

60's and flowers part 2

Here're some photos I haven't posted before from my 60's inspired look. My make up is inspired by Twiggy, who was a well known model from the 60's. As you probably know I'm really fond of the 60's. It's something with the era which interests me, like the quality of the movies, fashion, make up and music. In a couple of days I will post a post where I write more about me, so look forward to that!

Calendar project, bloggers world & Magazine feature

As you probably know I love art in all kind of forms, and when Lu asked me if I wanted to take part in a calendar project I didn't hesitate any minute. It's basically a calendar project called Blogger's world which is a calendar featuring bloggers from different parts of the world. It's very interesting. because you learn about the bloggers in a different way, and you get to know new bloggers. I always love to know new bloggers and get inspired by their works.

When I received the calendar I was really excited for the result, and I have to say that I am impressed by the work she has put into this calendar. I love the design of the calendar, simple and beautiful. I also received a cute message from her which really warms my heart. She is a graphic designer, and if you want to read more about the calendar project and support her work you can purchase the calendar here

I am also featured in Cliche Magazine for the streetstyle section. For print the Magazine can be purchased here and if you want to read it online then it's possible to do it here

Anyways, I hope that you had a lovely Christmas, and more blog posts will be coming soon. Two days ago I wasn't finished with writing this post, and I accidently posted it, but deleted it. But what really suprised me was, a couple of readers had already seen it after a couple of seconds! It's a great feeling and it keeps me motivated to keep blogging.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas lovely blog readers! I wish you all a wonderful day with the beloved ones, and that you got what you wished for! It's usually snow on Christmas day where I live, but this year it's raining. But it's still filled with Christmas spirit in the house. I have been waking up very early, opening Christmas gifts and I have been watching Three Wishes For Cinderella. Later today, I'm going to have Christmas dinner and spend a lot of time with my family. I'm also going to wear a 60's inspired outfit, hairstyle and make up.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas time

Coat - Vintage
Scarf - Ebay
Pants - Bikbok
Shoes - Din Sko

It's a long time ago since I had a proper outfit post. The weather is getting colder, and since it was going to rain during the day I had to take outfit photos when it was still snow. It's always snow on Christmas day which gives the extra Christmas spirit, but this year it's not going to be snow at all. I love listening to Christmas songs, and I have many favourites, but Last Christmas by Wham always cheers me up during Christmas time. I love Christmas movies like The Grinch and Three Wishes For Cinderella. Christmas is definitely the best time of the year!

Anyways, I hope that you like the vintage inspired outfit. I really love dark blue and brown coats  As you probably know I really love science, philosophy as much as art. But I am more a philosopher, and my interest started when I was just a child. I always asked philosophical questions and wondering about why we live here. It's an interesting thing. I started reading about the greatest philosophers like Platon etc. But I came across an interesting discussion about a philosophical question, Oscar Wilde has discussed it in one his essays and Lana Del Rey has mentioned it in one of her songs called Gods and Monsters. So here it goes:

Does art imitates life or does life imitates art?

Snow

I'm really sorry for the lack of updates, but I have been really busy with school and exams. During my absence I have been working with a project where I got featured in a calendar which can be purchased online. I will tell you more about it later in my next entry. I have also been spending more time with family and friends. I have been swimming a lot lately, because I was sick the whole autumn and I saw that I just needed training to the level before I was sick (I don't often get sick, but this time I was sick in two weeks, and then I got sick two more weeks).

I think you guys don't know my passion for swimming. But I love swimming a lot. I have been swimming since I was 4 years old, and I often swim twice a week. I have been doing this in more than ten years. I have also considered to join a swimming team, but the schredule was training five days a week, and school was getting really hectic at the time so I went swimming when I had time.

Anyways, I have also been decorating the christmas tree, and I have also been eating a lot of gingerbread and I am going to make a gingerbread house. It's snow in Norway, so I have to start taking outfit photos when it's still snow.

Have you baked a gingerbread house before?

21st birthday

Today it's my 21st birthday! It's a really strange feeling because I still feel like I'm a 5 years old kid. So many things have happened during these years, many feelings and emotions. My style has also been through different transformation from being a vintage and hippie kid to my rock style and then back to vintage with a modern twist. I had to add this photo which was taken two years ago. It was at the begining of my blogging career. I never knew what was waiting for me out there, never thought anyone would read my blog. All I was thinking about was to create inspiring outfits, and create a place where people around the world could gather together. I was at my happiest time and all I wanted to do was to make people around me happy, especially for people who often had bad days and were never able to experience something so precious. Happiness is a beautiful feeling. It's like heaven on Earth. I am thankful that I now have a blog with lovely readers, who spend time to comment! Together we have created a beautiful place!

There're so many memories I could revisit if I had a time machine. But my most precious memories were when I was in High School Jr. (it's a while now). It was the most inspiring time of my life. It was here I developed my style and got my inspirations. We were involved in so many art projects, and the best of all was the cinema we had in school where we watched 60's movies. I always spent time in the swimming pool with friends and playing water polo, but also in the floral fields making floral crowns where we discussed things which were interesting. You felt like you were living for the moment, young, wild and free. I also played piano in front of the whole school. Those years went by so quickly I wish it could last forever....

Random update

I'm really sorry for not updating so often these days, but the weirdest thing is that it is already sunset when it's 3pm. So that makes it really hard to make some time for taking photos. But I managed to take a couple of portrait photos today, and I really liked this one. For some reasons I looked through old outfit photos when I was a rookie in the blogging world. I have to say that I have changed a lot, but my style is still the same.

If you have noticed in my photos I used to have a monolid and a doublelid, but I thought it was strange since both my parents have doublelids. And everyone knows it's a challenge to put on make up. But two weeks ago I woke up with a doublelid, and I thought it lasted for a day, but it has stayed liked this ever since. I found it really amusing, because I read in a forum that if you have a monolid it will turn into doublelid around the age of 21 if your parents have double eyelid, and I am turning 21 on 22. november which means only two days left!!

A lot of readers have asked me how I get so flawless skin, so I was wondering if you readers are interested in a guide on how to achive it?

Glitter

This time is another vintage inspired concept. I was going to take photo of the whole outfit, but when I had taken a couple of photos I had to go to find something to eat and when I came back it was sunset and the light wasn't perfect anymore. It was really dark even though it was still afternoon, someone tells me that it's soon winter time. I have been dreaming a lot of dreams lately, but it's a dream I have been dreaming at least three times. I try to find the meaning of it.

I have been watching the first twilight movie, and it's weird to watch it, because everytime I watch Robert Pattinson in that movie I always think that my cousin went to the same school as him and that they're good friends. We really live in a small world.

Anyways, I hope that you like the photography, and have a lovely week!

Grey

I haven't posted photos in grey and white so much on this blog. So when I looked at these photos which I haven't posted before I wanted to give an even more vintage effect to the photos by turning them into grey and white. By the way, many of you readers say that I should smile more on photos. So here is a photo of me smiling, actually more likely about to laugh :) Anyways, I hope that you like them. Have a wonderful day!

Cards

I decided to make cards for my blog. It was really difficult to choose photos I wanted to have in my cards. But I ended up with these ones. I have to say that the landscape is really beautiful. I remember clearly it was a rainy day, but it was like stepping into a fairy tale. There were lotus flowers everywhere which made this place even more magical. The front of the card is a photo of me in a French inspired outfit, and the back of the card is a photo of the landscape. I and a friend of mine decided to have a French inspired photoshot on this day. I can't believe that I took these photos two years ago, time really flies!

Q: What do you think about the cards?

Sweet Candy

I am finished with three exams, so now I can finally update again. I really love japanese culture and fashion. Today, I visited a japanese shop where they sell cute things from Japan. It really brings me memories. When I was little I always played pokemon games on my gameboy, and I had to watch every pokemon and digimon episodes on TV. I had a huge collection of pokemon cards. I took these photos a couple of weeks ago, but I forgot to post them.
